A client sought to expand their Engineer Safety/HSE department by hiring a Technical Safety professional. The ideal candidate needed to possess various levels of expertise in Process and Technical Safety Engineering, be well-versed in Dutch government regulations, and be fluent in Dutch. However, finding such a specialist proved challenging.

Our Solution

Leap29 rose to the challenge by identifying a highly promising candidate who met the client’s needs. The candidate was a Dutch-speaking junior hygienist and safety engineer with experience at Staatsolie, a former Shell subsidiary—a background particularly attractive to our client, who appreciates ex-Shell engineers.

She was a vibrant and cheerful individual, well-versed in DHSE within the oil and gas industry, and driven by a strong desire to succeed for her family.

The candidate was already considering relocation and had family near the client’s office in the Netherlands, making the transition smoother. Her husband was also supportive and actively seeking new opportunities in the area.

The candidate underwent two interviews and impressed the client, ultimately being offered the position.
