This increases by one week for each year of service up to a maximum of 8 years. The employer can choose to pay these amounts or give the equivalent amount of paid notice. However, this is not payable if the employee resigns or if the employer terminates for just cause.
- Employees are paid twice a month, once mid-month and once at the end of the month. However, managerial staff can be paid monthly. There are no requirements regarding 13th month salaries.
